We're improving the Seneca Trade Portal Login process
We’ve listened to your feedback about the security login process for the Seneca Trade Portal App and we are making changes to make it easier for you to access your account.

We are improving our multi-factor authentication process to give you more options while maintaining security.

You can now choose to receive a code via text message to your mobile phone to verify your identity and access your Seneca Trade Online Account.

What does this mean for me?
You will now be asked to set up your multi-factor authentication again.
Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process and choose if you want to use an authenticator app or set up text message SMS authentication.
If you choose to continue using an authenticator app, such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator, you will need to set up a new verification code. Please remember to delete the old Seneca authentication from your authenticator app when you have completed the process.
Continue to setup MFA
Why are we doing this?
We take the protection of your data very seriously and it is important that we implement strong security measures and enhance login security.
On their own, emails and passwords do not always provide sufficient protection. Multi-factor authentication asks people to supplement their passwords with an additional verification method to confirm their identity. This adds an additional layer of security to protect your information and prevent others from accessing your account.

We have added the SMS One Time Password (OTP) option as well as authenticator Apps Time-Based One Time Password (TOTP) to the Seneca Trade Portal. This is in response to requests from users to make the login process simpler and for those who do not wish to use an authenticator app.

The Seneca Trade team will never ask for your password or
your SMS/authenticator verification code.
